Adam says (about RETROVATE):
Hey, I checked out your show a while ago, and I wanted to email you because I think you have a really great concept. Your shows are interesting, and I've had fun listening through them. The episodes keep getting better and better.
I'm always looking around for new shows to listen to because I'm a podcaster too. I do a weekly music review show called Have You Heard (http://www.haveyouheard.net). We interview musicians, talk about music news, and review two new records every week. You should check it out. I'd love some feedback on the show.

Keep doin' it for the the Philistines"
We speak this week with Jeff Lang about his new album with bassist Grant Cummerford - 'Half Seas Over'. Delving in the gnarly undertow world of lost love and ambition, Jeff weaves a masterpiece of modern folk blues. Touring Aust and the UK over the next few months Dawgr's. Heaps of other fine material too, so get your fill while you can.
I'm lovin it and hope ya dig it too, Salty.
Continuing our stream of good stuff. This week a fine selection heading out with Jesse DeNatale and taking you into some deep blues and the heady space of alt. country - all good things Dawgr's. If it ain't got that vibe - well it don't get a ride!!
Welcome tone hounds to bunch of pix (158 here) from the Byron Bay East Coast Bluesfest held over Easter 2008 (20-24 March) in the beautiful Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia. Thanks to Gaynor Crawford (Media) for supporting the Dawg!!
This festival had the biggest lineup of Australian and international artists we have seen yet - and just too many for the Dawg to check em all out. We were able to take some shots with the new Canon Digital SLR and wow! - this thing even makes me a pro (photographer that is!!). There's also some sound grabs in the Salty Live! section (for subscribers only tone hounds - so get on board...)
All the original images are very high resolution JPG's - so if you want a big fat print for ya wall, shot me an email and we'll work something out Dawgr's. Enjoy!!
Images from artist performances include: Buddy Guy, The Black Crowes, Luther Dickinson, John Hiatt, Seasick Steve, Mavis Staples, Collard Greens and Gravy, Ian Collard, Charlie Musselwhite and Band, John Hammond, Keb Mo, Wilco, John Fogerty, Jeff Tweedy (Wilco), John Butler, John Butler Trio, Jeff Lang and Grant Cummerford
Toneism is the word this week Dawgr's. Put together a whole mess o great tone tracks for your listening enjoyment - on the ipod, on the computer or the radio, these cuts will keep you satisfied. Just the best, and only the best blues n roots and a little alt. country to boot!!
Hm, into Koolsville this time round with some real cool blues n roots. Bout 30mins we've got an interview with Boyes, Brill and DelGrosso - a kool new outfit from the USA we caught on tour downunder in March. This is class stuff, take it from the Dawg! Lots of new cuts as well, so chill back and cruise on.
I'm lovin it and hope ya dig it too, Salty.
Check out what people are saying about Salty Dog blues n roots... plus Salty's Google Earth Map (shows last 100 pins) - add a pin, comment, maybe a cool pic.
We're ravin and cruisin this week with some hot tunes for ya! Dug into the archives, an pulled some new ones in off the street tone hounds; and I'll tell ya there's some great tracks here. Too many good things to list, so get on board and stream it down!!
I'm lovin it and hope ya dig it too, Salty.
